At this glorious 1790’s mansion house with Selkirkshire Trustees, we gathered Linen Stories from The Borders.
For this venue we celebrated a new exhibition theme, ‘Patronage and Prizes’, examining the role of Grand House and Royal Palace in the early linen trade and the development of Design Prizes as the industry grew, with a particular focus on the Design of Linen Damask in Scotland.

Hayley McCrirrick is a Textile Artist & Maker based in the Scottish Borders. Hayley creates distinctive compositions on linen and has shared her simple Design philosophy and stories of the traditional screen-print techniques employed in her work.
