Venue name
The Haining Estate
Selkirk TD7 5LR

At this glorious 1790’s mansion house now with Selkirkshire Trustees, we gather Linen Stories from The Borders. Opening daily from 10am to 4pm Thursday 26th July to Sunday 29th July, with an opening evening Borders Reception 6pm to 8pm Thursday 26th.

For this venue we celebrate a new exhibition theme, ‘Patronage and Prizes’, examining the role of Grand House and Royal Palace in the early linen trade and the development of Design Prizes as the industry grew, with a particular focus on the Design of Linen Damask in Scotland.

Local artist Hayley McCrirrick offers us an Artist Talk about her work screen printing on linen 2-3pm Saturday 28th July and everyone is welcome for our Treasure Hunt at The Haining from 2pm Sunday afternoon.
