At this glorious 1790’s mansion house with Selkirkshire Trustees, we gathered Linen Stories from The Borders.

For this venue we celebrated a new exhibition theme, ‘Patronage and Prizes’, examining the role of Grand House and Royal Palace in the early linen trade and the development of Design Prizes as the industry grew, with a particular focus on the Design of Linen Damask in Scotland.

Local artist Hayley McCrirrick offered us an Artist Talk about her work screen printing on linen that welcomed everyone for our Treasure Hunt at The Haining on a Sunday afternoon.
